What determines the price of something? Why do people buy what they buy—and how do millions of individual choices shape an economy? Foundations in Economics takes teens beyond memorizing economic vocabulary and helps them understand how economics actually works in everyday life. Using Ramsey Education’s engaging Foundations in Economics curriculum, students will explore markets, money, incentives, trade-offs, supply and demand, and the consequences of economic choices through videos, discussion, activities, and real-world examples. The curriculum includes 11 stand-alone chapters and is designed to develop critical thinking rather than simple term memorization. Students learn to recognize trade-offs, understand why markets change, evaluate economic decisions, and see how their own choices can affect the world around them. At Root Hub, we’ll take those conversations even deeper by connecting economic principles to biblical stewardship, personal responsibility, generosity, work, wise decision-making, and creating value for others. Students won’t just learn economics for a test—they’ll begin learning how to think economically, make wiser choices, and understand the world they are preparing to enter.
