Location: ROOT Hub Campus (at Root & Co Refined Cabinetry Office) Day: Thursdays Time: 4:30–6:30 pm Course Length: 8 Weeks Meeting Time:120 Minutes Weekly Recommended Ages: 13–18 DIARY OF A WEIRD KID Dinner & Discipleship What does it actually look like to read His Word, and then walk in His Word? Diary of a WEIRD Kid: Dinner & Discipleship is a 2-hour Root Hub experience created to help students move beyond simply knowing Bible verses and begin living them out in real life. Around the table, over dinner, we’ll talk honestly about friendships, choices, pressure, identity, obedience, faith, hearing God, and what it means to be led by the Holy Spirit instead of being shaped by the ways of the world. And yes…when you really begin living according to the Word, you may look a little WEIRD. Throughout the weeks, students will uncover what W.E.I.R.D. means and discover why being different for the right reasons is something worth embracing. Each gathering will include dinner, Scripture, meaningful conversation, practical discipleship, and real-life challenges that encourage students to put what they are learning into action. The invitation is simple: Come teachable. Come hungry. Come ready to grow. Make a commitment to let God’s Word shape the way you think, the Holy Spirit lead the way you live, and Jesus—not culture, define who you are becoming. Because following Jesus was never meant to make us blend in. Read the Word. Walk the Word. Be willing to live WEIRD.
